RAINY RACES GO TO JACQUES-MAYNES AND OLDS

Stockton, Calif. (May 21, 2006) - Ben Jacques-Maynes (Kodakgallery.com/Sierra Nevada) and Shelly Olds (PROMAN/Paradigm) endured a day of inclement weather and won the Men Pro/1/2 and Women 1/2/3 races at the Pacific State Bank Grand Prix presented by Anderson Homes, the second race of the 2006 NCNCA Premier Series.

Jacques-Maynes and Brent Miller (Arete Racing/Vellum Cycles) snuck away late in the race out of an eight-rider breakaway and held off the the other six riders, who were led in by young Daniel Holloway (GS Lombardi Sports) ahead of Jacques-Maynes teammate Jackson Stewart, who won the ST Bike Cat's Hill Classic last weekend and now sits atop the NCNCA Premier Series Standings.

In the women's race at Stockton, Olds broke away early and cruised to the win after lapping the field. Mary Maroon was second, after a long solo chase ahead of Taitt Sato (McGuire Cycling).
